Joint Inflammation is called Arthritis and there are more than hundred types of arthritis. Arthritis affects different part of body and has different causes. It affects joints, soft tissues, Ligaments, lungs and in some it affects heart valves too.

Types of Arthritis

There are varieties in types of Arthritis which are characterized by inflammation and pain in joints. Each patient has different experience in this condition some feel severe constant pain and for some pain increases while moving while for some rest is more painful.

  1. Osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease: It is the most common form of arthritis, it is a result of overuse of joints , trauma and aging , as it is more common in older people. Abnormal anatomy, deformity of a joint, such as in hip dysplasia, might contribute to the early development of osteoarthritis. Poor blood supply , Poor nutrition, and immobilisation can also cause osteoarthritis.
  2. Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis & Spondylitis are the body attacks itself. These types of arthritis are mostly seen in younger people.
  3. Septic arthritis is caused by viral or bacterial joint.
  4. Gout on the other hand is a metabolic condition and inflammation, which is caused deposition of uric acid crystals in the joint.
